The days of New Zealand's rockstar economic growth aren't likely to return any time soon

The Reserve Bank's cut the Official Cash Rate another 25 basis points today - bringing it to 2.25 percent.

The outgoing Governor says the economy's already recovering from its downturn -- possibly more quickly and strongly than expected.

But Christian Hawkesby says it also clearly has limits.

Hawkesby says productivity and population growth are weak, and Kiwis need to be realistic about how fast the economy can grow.
