The number of consumers behind on their credit repayments has reached a two-year low

The latest Centrix data shows 459-thousand people were in arrears, down from 465-thousand last month.

Among them, 84-thousand people are more than 90 days overdue.

Chief Operating Officer Monika Lacey says it appears the tide is starting to turn.

She says we've seen an overall downward trend this year compared to last, but the fact we've also gone below 2023 rates, is exciting.
