Concern Government changes to employment law could allow firing-at-will

The PSA is promising to fight the Employment Relations Amendment Bill tooth and nail through its second and third readings.
It would remove personal grievance pay-outs for employees engaging in serious misconduct, or on pay topping 180-thousand dollars a year.
PSA National Secretary, Fleur Fitzsimons, claims employers will use minor infractions to not pay out workers, making jobs more precarious.
She says less secure work leads to worse mental health - and leaves workers with less borrowing power to buy a home.
