    Fire and Emergency received 15 calls between 12pm and one - as crews took strike action

    Fire and Emergency received 15 calls between 12pm and one - as crews took strike action


    One call was for a medical emergency, which was handed over to Hato Hone St John

    Another call-out was for a small grass fire in Whangarei, and the other calls were none-threatening.

    Officials are thanking the public for keeping safe, but warns of further strikes taking place next Friday, and the Friday after.
