    Dairy prices have risen for the first time in months

    Overall prices are up 6.3 percent at the latest Global Dairy Trade auction.

    The price of whole milk powder is up 7.2 percent, and skim milk powder is up 5.4.

    Fonterra lowered its forecast farmgate price three weeks ago.

    The forecast midpoint is now nine-dollars -- well down on the final payout of 10-dollars-16 last season.
