    The housing market may be yet to turn a corner


    The Real Estate Institute's House Price Index has fallen another 0.7 percent in the past year.

    The index is now 16.2 percent below its 2021 peak.

    It's 23.6 percent below the peak in Auckland, and 26.9 percent the peak in Wellington.

    The average property is taking 54 days to sell - unchanged on a year ago.
