    Rugby World Cup-winning loose forward Liam Messam believes Dave Rennie is the right man to bring the All Blacks squad together


    Rennie's been confirmed as Scott Robertson's successor - beating out Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph for the role.

    Messam was co-captain of the Chiefs side which Rennie coached to back-to-back Super Rugby crowns in 2012 and 13.

    Messam says his former coach brings a ton of experience to the role.



    New Zealand Rugby say Rennie's full coaching team will be confirmed in coming weeks.

    Rennie will see out his commitments with Japanese club Kobe before returning home ahead of the All Blacks home matches in July.
