    Kelsea Ballerini initially felt anxious about writing love songs with Morgan Evans

    The 27-year-old singer has always been reluctant to write music with her husband, but they decided to take a chance amid the coronavirus lockdown and they both relished the experience


    Kelsea - who recorded her self-titled album as an acoustic release during quarantine - said: "During this whole process, Morgan and I always kind of said we’re never gonna write together because, I don’t know, we just respect each other so much as songwriters.

    "I was worried that I’d get in the room and be like, ‘Oh, it’s weird that I’m writing a love song about you, with you.’ Like I just thought I’d be so in my head about it."

    However, as it transpired, their collaboration has proven to be successful and Kelsea considers it to be a "silver lining" of the lockdown.

    She told Us Weekly: "We ended up starting to write together the last few months and it’s been so much fun when we’re just itching to play music, we’ll both just pick up a guitar and start writing, so that’s definitely been a good silver lining."

    The blonde beauty - who has been married to Morgan since 2017 - also suggested that they'll work together again in the future.

    However, Kelsea insisted that music isn't their number one priority when they're spending time together at home.

    The chart-topping singer - who released her debut album, 'The First Time', in 2015 - said: "I’m sure down the road we’ll do more songs together. Right now, we’re both just trying to keep our music out [of it]."
