Rumer Willis is "definitely ready for a partner", but she would rather make pancakes than reunite with her ex-boyfriend

The 37-year-old actress - who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore - confirmed last year she and Derek Richard Thomas, who she has two-year-old daughter Louetta with, had gone their separate ways.

But after a year-and-a-half of the single life, Rumer is keen to date again.

When asked in an Instagram Q+A if she is currently with someone, she replied: "I've been single for the last year and a half because I just wanted to focus on work and being a mom, but I'm definitely ready for a partner."

Rumer has thought a lot about the type of person she would like to hook up with next, and the star has concluded she would love a man who is "honest and has good communication", and who shows her "kindness, consideration, and respect."

Asked what type of qualities she looks for in a partner to date, she replied: "This is something I've thought a lot about.

"I think someone who is honest and has good communication, and someone who is really considerate and kind, and the priority that they have for their lives is to be kind and driven and fun and silly.

"I spent a lot of time, in my 20s, maybe focusing on charm and charisma, which many of us know now is a huge red flag sometimes.

"But I think kindness and being considerate and being valued ... my opinions, thoughts, my time.

"I also think someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and has their own thing going on.

"I would really like to be in a dynamic where we're both equally bringing to the table, and it's co-created and supportive.

"I have a lot of thoughts on this.

    "But kindness, consideration, respect."

Elsewhere in her social media Q+A, Rumer - who admitted actor Lee Pace, who is married to Matthew Foley, is her "dream man" - was asked whether she would rather "get back with your ex or make me pancakes".

She replied with a pancake emoji.
