Three people have been arrested after a major investigation into the illegal sale of cannabis in Canterbury

Police searched a Middleton property yesterday, targeting a group operating under a legitimate medical cannabis licence.

Investigators allege the group spent about five years unlawfully distributing cannabis alongside their authorised activities.

Police say the offending exploited a system intended to support vulnerable people.

The three accused are due to appear in court over the next three weeks.
