Liverpool are keeping the door open for Mohamad Salah as he prepares to go on a brief secondment

Liverpool are keeping the door open for Mohamad Salah as he prepares to go on a brief secondment

The striker will join Egypt for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations campaign - having come off the bench during Liverpool's two-nil English Premier League win over Brighton.

Salah's future at the club has been up in the air after being left out of their recent Champions League match with Inter Milan after slamming the club in an interview.

Slot was asked if he expected Salah to return to Liverpool at the conclusion of the AFCON tournament.

Arsenal have extended their lead atop the EPL standings with a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton.
