    A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with illegal firearm and drug-possession, after being pulled over for speeding in Kawakawa, last night


    Police stopped a driver on State Highway 11 for exceeding the speed limit, then found the car had been reported stolen last week.

    A further search through the vehicle led to the discovery and seizure of weapons, ammunition, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

    The driver is due to appear in court next month.
