The National Cyber Security Centre has confirmed it's working alongside Manage My Health to investigate its cyber security breach

The web portal was notified yesterday of unauthorised access to its New Zealand systems, which contain private health records of around 1.8 million users.

It says the incident has now been contained - but more than 100 thousand users have been affected.

Police and the Privacy Commissioner have also been notified.
