A warning new ADHD prescription rules, won't make diagnosis of the condition any quicker

From this month, trained GPs and nurse practitioners will be able to prescribe medication from the outset - without a specialist's recommendation.
Wait times for specialists have varied across the country - but it can take over a year to get an appointment.
General Practice Owners' Association Chair Angus Chambers, says it won't be one 15 minute consultation to get prescribed medication.
He says any diagnostic process will be over several sessions, like it currently is, with a psychiatrist or paediatrician.
