    A full circle moment for a pair of New Zealand spinners as the 2026 edition of cricket's T20 World Cup gets set to start in India and Sri Lanka


    Black Caps captain Mitchell Santner and former Northern Districts team-mate Ish Sodhi made their T20 World Cup debuts a decade ago - in India.

    The duo bagged seven wickets between them in a famous opening win over the hosts - and Sodhi says time has flown since.



    That opening match for New Zealand comes against Afghanistan in Chennai.
