Ozzy Osbourne will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award at the BRITs

The rock legend passed away in July 2025, aged 76, and his inimitable impact and influence on the world of music is set to be recognised at the upcoming BRIT Awards.

Stacey Tang, the chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and co-president of RCA Records at Sony Music UK, said: "Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music.

"Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide."

The awards show on Saturday (28.02.26) will feature an all-star rock tribute performance, which has been curated by Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's widow.

The performance will feature the likes of Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde, as well as pop star Robbie Williams.

Ozzy died after suffering a heart attack, and Sharon "knew instantly" that her husband had passed away.

During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon previously shared: "He had a heart attack.

"I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I'm like, 'Don't - just leave him. Leave him. You can't. He's gone'.

"I knew instantly he'd gone. And they tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it's like, 'He's gone. Just leave him'."

Ozzy passed away on July 22, 2025, following a series of health problems and having been diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019.

His family said in a statement at the time: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love."
