A call for Northlanders to help reduce the spread of moth plant

A call for Northlanders to help reduce the spread of moth plant

Northland Regional Council has launched a competition encouraging people to collect the pest plant's pods, vines and seedlings - with rewards up for grabs.

Biosecurity Manager Joanna Barr says this protects native species who fall victim to the smothering vine.

She says every pod removed will make a big difference.
