    Despite having his howl reduced to a whimper in the final round, American Matthew Wolff is proud of his debut US Open result


    The third round leader has finished outright second on even par, six shots behind the winner Bryson DeChambeau.

    Wolff led by two shots at the start of the day but three bogeys on the back nine saw him fall off the pace.

    He's philosophical after shooting a five over 75.
