New Zealanders are finding it harder to keep up with housing costs, compared to other countries

A survey by professional services firm GHD has found 17-percent of us use half our household income on our rent or mortgage.
That compares to the global average of 11-percent.
GHD's Stephen Douglas says it should prompt questions around housing affordability, and the supporting infrastructure for housing. He says decisions need to be made now to support our young people for the future.
