Abseilers will assess a building on Auckland's Queen Street this afternoon - after debris fell and moderately injured two pedestrians on the footpath

Abseilers will assess a building on Auckland's Queen Street this afternoon - after debris fell and moderately injured two pedestrians on the footpath

Auckland Council says compliance officers have visited the scene and liaised with the body corporate manager and the owner of the apartment.

Compliance Manager Adrian Wilson says it appears a loose piece of masonry has fallen from a balcony - and there's currently no sign of any further loose concrete.

He says the body corporate is arranging the abseilers and the area's been cordoned off.
