A new Bill aiming to speed access to medicines has passed its third reading

The Medicines Amendment Bill enables the Rule of Two, so products with approval in two recognised overseas countries can be approved here within 30 days.
It will also enable advertising yet-to-be approved medicines at medical conferences - encouraging the events to the country.
Associate Health Minister David Seymour says this will allow faster treatment access, and generate 90-million in conference-associated revenue over the next few years.
Seymour says living in New Zealand should never be a disadvantage.
