Travis Kelce's latest record-breaking achievement has been "soured" by the Kansas City Chiefs' poor form

The 36-year-old sports star recently became the Chiefs' all-time record touchdown scorer - but Travis hasn't been able to really enjoy the accomplishment, because of his team's poor form in the NFL.

Speaking on the New Heights podcast, Travis reflected: "It's an honour, man.

"Obviously, right now it's soured because it's coming off a f****** loss. Our fifth loss of the season. But I got, first of all, so much respect for the organisation, so much respect for the guys that have paved the way, not only in the Chiefs organisation but in the National Football League, that have made an opportunity for myself to come in and make a living."

Despite this, Travis remains enthusiastic about his work and the Chiefs franchise.

He said: "I just love coming into work.

"When you come into work with the right mindset and right attitude, and you got a really good coach and a really good quarterback, and you stay long enough, they don't fire you for 13 years, you start to pile up some stats."

Travis began dating pop star Taylor Swift in 2023, and Patrick Mahomes - Travis' teammate at the Kansas City Chiefs - previously claimed that the singer has helped to make the NFL franchise a "worldwide team".

Patrick told Time magazine: "[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor's fanbase."

Patrick also admitted to being impressed by Taylor's work ethic.

The 30-year-old star - who is one of the best players in the NFL - observed that the pop singer is "never not working".

He said: "I've met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor's probably the most down-to-earth person that's been on that stage for that long.

"She's never not working. Even when she's taking her downtime, she's working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks."
