Tom Brady and Alix Earle have been "texting" since getting close at a New Year celebration

The pair were spotted partying together in St Barth's last month and have kept in touch since, although things have not gotten serious yet.

A source told Us Weekly: "[Alix] and Tom have still been texting since New Year's.

Tom, 48, and Alix also "briefly" met up at the College Football National Championship held in Miami last week.

The insider said: "They knew each other would be at the game, but it wasn't a planned event together."

Although Tom was working at the game, the pair managed to catch up "at one point".

Speaking about Alix, the source added: "She's having fun right now. She's into Tom but it's still nothing serious."

Insiders previously shared that Alix - who is single following her recent split from Braxton Berrios - and Tom shared an "instant connection" when they first met.

A source told Us Weekly: "Alix and Tom were together the entire night on New Year's Eve partying at a party hosted by Palm Tree Crew in St. Barths. They met through mutual friends who were also in St. Barths and had an instant connection. There was a lot of chemistry between them."

The source added that Tom was "hesitant" about being seen together in public "but didn't want to leave her side", while "Alix was really into hanging out" with Tom but isn't looking for "anything serious".

The insider added: "It's nothing serious between her and Tom, but they were together laughing, dancing and partying, enjoying themselves.

"Alix is in a phase of saying yes to fun experiences and not overthinking anything.

"She's just having fun right now and letting loose. She has been in great spirits while on vacation and seems happy and ready to have fun again."

Despite being spotted several times with Alix, retired quarterback Tom - who has son Jack, 18, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen - has claimed work and his family keep him too busy to have the time to date.

He told People magazine recently: "You know what? I don't have much time for a personal life or much time for myself, but I love working and I love my kids.

"I like to be busy and try to really stay fulfilled in the things I'm doing, so I'm working on some really cool projects and I'm involved with some great teams of people that are doing some really positive things.

"And then obviously, my little babies at home. No, they're not babies anymore."
