Infrastructure advocates say the government's finally catching up, in an area the private sector's been dominating for some time

Infrastructure advocates say the government's finally catching up, in an area the private sector's been dominating for some time

The new Infrastructure Commission has extended its pipeline of projects, to help guide the construction industry 10 years into the future.

Infrastructure New Zealand CEO Paul Blair says the pipeline will eventually include private sector projects too, like telecommunications and electricity.

He says those sectors are some of the best-performing in terms of infrastructure, because they're looking to the far-future.
