    The seven-time champion Mercedes driver edged Ferrari's Carlos Sainz for the quickest time of the day - with McLaren's Lando Norris third fastest.

    Red Bull's Max Verstappen, complaining of a lack of front grip, could only post the fifth quickest lap.
