A man's pleaded guilty over attacking a murderer and a Corrections officer in a Napier courthouse

A man's pleaded guilty over attacking a murderer and a Corrections officer in a Napier courthouse

Graham Cedric Mokaraka scaled a nearly two-metre glass barrier with three others - to attack Moses Mohi Taua in September.

Taua killed Mokaraka's family member, Arohaina Henare, in 2022.

Her teenage twin sons have been sentenced for their role in the courtroom attack.

The fourth man has since died.

Mokaraka today pleaded guilty in Napier District Court to assaulting the officer restraining him.

He's previously admitted a charge relating to Taua - and will be sentenced in August.
