Mark Hamill still hasn't got over Carrie Fisher's death

The 72-year-old actor has "never stopped missing" his beloved 'Star Wars' co-star - who died in 2016 aged 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest - and admitted she was like a sister to him in real life.

He told E! News: "I've never stopped missing her. When I hung out with Carrie, you were guaranteed to laugh all day.

"We were brother and sister in more than one way, where we would fight too. And then, days later, it was all forgotten.

"She was marvellous, and losing her was something that I still haven't gotten over."

The 'Wild Robot' star wishes he could tell Carrie how much he loved her.

Asked what he would say to her now if he could, he simply said: "I love you and I miss you."

Mark previously admitted he had a "tumultuous relationship" with Carrie that could lead to them going months wihout speaking.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, he explained: "I have to tell you, we had a tumultuous relationship. We could be as loving and supportive as possible, then we could have big arguments and say: 'Well, I never want to speak to you again,' and not speak for six months."

However, the sulky silences didn't last long and they always picked up their friendship where they left off.

Mark added: "Every time you came back, you picked up right where you left off. We had a connection that is special."

The 'Knightfall' actor loved nothing more than making Carrie laugh, just as she "lived" to entertain other people.

He said: "She lived to make others laugh. And it was always a point of satisfaction for me to be able to make her laugh."
