Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has applauded his players for stepping up amid a mid-season coaching change following their 3-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has applauded his players for stepping up amid a mid-season coaching change following their 3-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League

The former Manchester United striker - who was appointed to replace former gaffer Steve Cooper at the weekend - found success in his first game at the helm.

Van Nistelrooy admits he's still adjusting to his new role.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace picked up their second win of the season with a 1-nil victory over Ipswich Town.
