    New Zealand Cricket Players Association boss Heath Mills is warning the governing body against making central contracts a pre-requisite for selection in the Black Caps after a PR mishap


    Mills claims NZC's apologised to Finn Allen, Jimmy Neesham and Tim Seifert after falsely claiming their availability for a warm-up series next January to the T20 World Cup.

    As examples, Allen and Seifert are already contracted to Big Bash League teams.

    Mills says no contract model is perfect, so a balance must be struck.
