    Northland Regional Council has paid tribute to former councillor and businessman, Monty Knight - who died on Sunday


    The 80 year died at his Kaitaia home after being found with critical injuries.

    A 57 year old woman has been charged with murder and will appear in Whangarei District Court next month.

    Council Chair, Pita Tipene, says Knight was a genuinely nice human being, who served people with passion and commitment.
