Francesca Scorsese "obviously" landed a high-profile directing job because of her famous father, Martin Scorsese
The 26-year-old actress-and-filmmaker took the helm in the final episode of Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints - a Fox Nation docuseries which is ex ecutive-produced and narrated by the Taxi Driver director - and while she was "honoured" to be involved in the project, she is also open about the fact the opportunity only came her way because of her family connection.

Speaking to Variety, Francesca - whose episode of the show looks at Carlo Acutis, the so-called Millennial Saint, who died from leukaemia in 2006 aged 15 and was canonised in 2015 - said: "I got this, obviously, because my dad was overseeing everything as the ex ecutive producer.
