Christina Applegate is "certain" she contracted COVID-19 at the Married With Children reunion

The 54-year-old actress teamed up with former co-stars Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal and David Faustino for the An Evening with the Buntys event two weeks ago, and she thinks she picked up the virus because she didn't wear a mask and there were "so many germs" in the room.

Speaking to Jamie Lynn Sigler on their MeSsy podcast, she said: "It was at the Wiltern theatre in Los Angeles. A couple thousand folk there.

"I just tried to be funny. You know me.

"Questions were asked. There was a moderator, this guy who used to do our warm-up, actually, in our audience. And it went on for, it felt like a few hours, but it wasn't, it was probably an hour."

Christina - who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021 - enjoyed the evening, though it was exhausting for her.

She said: "I was really tired, sweet Jamie, you know me, when the MS hits that fit, like, it was so late at night.

"It didn't start till 7:30, dude. I know you're, like, laughing at me, but to me, that's, like, the worst ever. ... "You're [supposed to be] in the [pyjamas], and you got the stuff on ... at 7:30, you're not supposed to be in hair and make-up and in front of thousands of people answering questions.

"I don't know. It was great. I think that the people had fun, and it was nice to be with my family."

The Dead To Me Star - who has 15-year-old Sadie with husband Martyn LeNoble - previously admitted she misses the person she was before she "got sick".

Speaking on the Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast, Christina said of her daughter: "I don't get up in the morning with that, I get up because of her. She's the reason I'm still here and trying."

"But she did say to me, and we got into a big thing the other day, and sorry Sadie, but it has to be said. She said, 'I missed who you were before you got sick'. That is just like a knife to the heart because I miss who I was before I got sick too. Very much."
