Praise for temporary changes to NCEA and University Entrance because of Covid-19

Praise for temporary changes to NCEA and University Entrance because of Covid-19

Education Minister Chris Hipkins has announced extra credits will be available for student and University Entrance will be modified.

Students still have to pass level three and meet the literacy and numeracy requirements - but will only need 12 credits in University Entrance Approved subjects rather than 14.

Secondary Principals Association president Deidre Shea says students will still need to work.

She says it means they'll be working at the right level to achieve those qualifications genuinely.
