Police have found the cellphone of a Canterbury woman missing for 10 days

Police have found the cellphone of a Canterbury woman missing for 10 days

Melissa Ewings hasn't been seen since telling friends she was going for a walk to Clarence's river.

Senior Sergeant Peter Payne says items including Ewings' cell phone have been found - and it's being analysed.

Police scaled down the search yesterday - but are still carrying out wider inquiries and urge anyone with information to contact them.

Ewings' family has appealed for privacy.
