Kate Ferdinand is feeling grateful for her family and friends after becoming a mom

The former 'Only Way Is Essex' star has heaped praise on her loved ones for their support after she recently welcomed her and Rio Ferdinand's first child, son Cree

She wrote on Instagram: "Thank you for all of your amazing messages & support. I am grateful for you all ... Lots of you have been feeling similar in lockdown, although not every day is amazing at the moment, it really has helped me the last few days to focus on the things I am grateful for. #iamgratefulfor ... my health, being able to walk and get fresh air - something I’ve taken for granted until I couldn’t the last few weeks! My family, my friends who have been here for me through everything, YOU GUYS for all of your support, the dogs, all of the amazing memories I have been able to make with my family over the last few years and my emotions, although I am so emotional ... it helps me to be loving and the person I am (sic)"

Meanwhile, Kate recently admitted she has "cried often" since becoming a mother.

She said: "I am slowly feeling better each day, it's a gradual recovery and I'm taking it really easy but it's good to be seeing little improvements daily.

"I've always been super emotional. Whatever I'm feeling everyone always knows. I like to wear my heart on my sleeve. Since giving birth my emotions are still all over the place, I cry often ... I feel so happy with our beautiful new addition but often have moments of feeling overwhelmed. I don't know whether I'm coming or going most days."
