    A sudden goalpost shift over who is the record goalscorer in football history


    Cristiano Ronaldo may have been crowned with the title after scoring his 760th goal for club or country.

    He's done so while helping Juventus lift the Italian Super Cup with a 2-nil win over Napoli.

    The strike put him clear of Josef "Pepi" Bican's tally of 759... unless you subscribe to the theory the Czech-Austrian forward actually scored 805 goals between 1931 and 1955.

    The schools of thought continue to disagree.
