Police are appealing for people to report sharing of a concerning child exploitation video in the Auckland area

The video is graphic in nature, but police will not disclose any further details out of respect for the victim.

Police are making a number of enquiries about the distribution of the video.

It's understood the video is mostly being shared among young people in Auckland.

They're reminding people that possessing objectionable content can carry a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
