Gisborne Police say they've made changes after a murderer died in a police cell in 2023

Gisborne Police say they've made changes after a murderer died in a police cell in 2023

Lynne Martin was found dead the morning after she'd been convicted.

The Independent Police Conduct Authority says two-hourly checks weren't done and two officers falsely reported they had carried out physical checks.

The IPCA also criticised an officer who left duties during his shift.
