Post-mortems are being carried out, following a fatal blaze in Manawatu's Sanson on Saturday - that claimed the lives of three young children and a man

Police responding to reports this is a suspected triple-murder-suicide - say they haven't decided whether this is homicide.

The children have been named on a Givealittle page as Goldie, August and Hugo - aged one, five and seven.

Police are still working to figure out how the fire unfolded.

They've confirmed the man, understood to be the children's father, died at the scene - but wasn't burned in the blaze.
