Ariana Grande wants to "move past" her comments about the moon landing

The 32-year-old star went viral during last year's Wicked press tour when her comments about whether or not she believe the moon landing happened were true or not.

Her Wicked: For Good co-star Bowen Yang reignited the debate during a new lie detector test interview with Vanity Fair, asking the actress if she wanted to redeem herself.

She quipped: "No, I wanna move past it."

He jokingly asked if she believe Katy Perry and Gayle King went to the moon earlier this year, but she teased: "No, because they didn't. They orbited the Earth... or went for a few minutes up and down."

Bowen wasn't done, asking if she would sing for her "fellow travellers" like the Roar hitmaker did, if she had the chance to visit space.

She said: "No, I wouldn't sing in space. I wouldn't do that trip, personally. I do love space, but I'm staying right here for now.

"I think it makes sense. I'll look from my yard or from a plane, not breaking certain layers."

After a brief break, Bowen went back to the topic, and quizzed Ariana on whether or not there is "a flag planted on the moon".

She replied: "Bowen... I hear both arguments. The truth is: I don't give a rat's a**!

"I'm worried about Earth, goddamn it! We're burning alive! We're killing each other! Can we worry about Earth for five minutes?

"Who gives a f*** about the moon and the flag! How did you get me here again? You guys!"

Ariana did take the opportunity to get some payback on Bowen, asking the Saturday Night Live star if he enjoyed kissing her on an episode of SNL last year.

He said: "It was the only time I've kissed someone where a crowd screamed in horror. So I think I liked it?"

She followed up by asking if he thought she "was a good kisser", and her openly gay co-star burst out laughing before claiming she was "really good", but the expert said his answer was "inconclusive".
