Chris Luxon's still considering his options for Waitangi Day

Chris Luxon's still considering his options for Waitangi Day

The Prime Minister's faced some backlash last year for spending the day with Ngai Tahu in the South Island, rather than at Waitangi itself.

Act Leader David Seymour and Labour Leader Chris Hipkins have both confirmed their attendance at Waitangi.

But Luxon hasn't - telling Newstalk ZB he expects to make a decision after mulling it over, during the summer break.

He says he enjoyed spending last Waitangi Day with Ngai Tahu and it gave him a different perspective.
