Australia have taken control of the fifth and final Ashes cricket test after a dominant third day with the bat at the SCG

Australia have taken control of the fifth and final Ashes cricket test after a dominant third day with the bat at the SCG

Travis Head made 163 - his third century of the series, while skipper Steve Smith will resume on 129, as part of the hosts' 518 for seven.

Head's now scored 600 runs across the Ashes.

He has been asked though if passing 150 seven times in his test career without reaching 200, is bugging him.

    Australia lead by 134 runs.
