ASB's reported fairly flat growth in the second half of last year

ASB's reported fairly flat growth in the second half of last year

The bank's higher income has been offset by higher operating expenses.

Cash net profit after tax lifted one percent to 719-million dollars - alongside operating expenses jumping 21 percent, to 839-million.

The bank says it was largely driven by settling class action proceedings against it.

It's staff numbers also jumped 10 percent.
