Matthew Lillard admits his fashion sense is "still stuck in 2000"

Asked if he would like to bring back any outfits from his early career, he told PEOPLE magazine: "No, not a single one. Not a single one."

However, Matthew admitted his sense of style hasn't actually developed much since the early 2000s.

He quipped: "I have to tell you, I think I'm still stuck in 2000. I'm wearing a denim shirt.

"When you say fashion trend, my mind immediately leaves. It's not my forte."

Matthew - who also starred in the likes of Hackers, She's All That and Summer Catch between 1995 and 2001 - insisted while he's not fussed about reliving fashion trends, he gladly goes back to watch the likes of 1987 film The Princess Bride.

He said: "That's a movie I could put on anytime.

"You fall in love with the performances from Mandy Patinkin to Cary Elwes. I love that whole thing, Wallace Shawn. I just think it's funny.

"It's grounded, it's emotional, and I just think that's just the best kind of filmmaking."

Meanwhile, Matthew's Scream co-star Courteney Cox previously admitted her daughter Coco was "mad" at her for throwing away her 90s wardrobe.

She told Refinery29 back in 2023: "Coco, my daughter, is so mad at me for not saving all my clothes from the '90s.

"But when I look [back], I don't go, 'Oh, I wish I could wear those clothes again.' Of course I didn't save them.

"But it's funny because all Coco wants is everything I wore back then."

On the flipside, Sarah Michelle Gellar - who starred in Scream 2 - and her daughter Charlotte are both on board with the decades' trends.

She told PEOPLE: "Most of the time, our fashion sense and what we like are so different.

"Except when it comes to the stuff from the '90s, whether it's the clothing, the chokers, the Fendi [baguette], it's the one time that we're on the same page."
