    AND here.. Fire and Emergency's declared a prohibited fire season for parts of Otago


    Starting 8am Monday, the Lakes and Glendhu Bluffs areas will be affected.

    It means no outdoor fires are allowed and all fire permits revoked.

    Otago District Manager Phil Marsh says forecast rain didn't happen, so conditions are hot and dry enough to be a significant fire risk.
