Brian Austin Green and Vanessa Marcil "stay out of each other's way"

The 52-year-old actor - who has son Kassius, 23, with Vanessa - admits that he has a much better relationship with Megan Fox, his ex-wife, than Vanessa.

During an appearance on Inside of You, Brian was asked whether he gets on with his exes, and the actor replied: "No."

Brian - who has Noah, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, nine, with Megan - then added: "Megan and I are great.

"She gets along with my fiancee [Sharna Burgess] amazingly and it is great. We just co-parent well and we stay out of each other's way. And I realised early on, people separate for a reason.

"We are not going to all of a sudden just be great friends as we are coparenting. We stopped being together because we didn't get along as well as we did when we first got together. Let's take that expectation out of it and just resign to the fact that I only care about the health and wellness of my kids."

Brian is glad to have a healthy co-parenting relationship with Megan.

The actor - who was married to the Hollywood star between 2010 and 2021 - shared: "You are going to parent how you do and I am going to parent how I do. I wish her the best because she's the mother of three of my kids. Also I know her so well, we started dating when she was 18 years old and we were together for 15 years. So I know her very, very well."

Earlier this year, Brian insisted that he didn't regret calling his relationship with Vanessa "toxic".

The actor explained why he chose to speak out about his relationship with the actress.

Asked if he had any regrets about his comments, Brian - who split from Vanessa back in 2003 - told People: "No, because everything that's come recently has genuinely been for the purpose of speaking about a relationship.

"It's not pointing fingers, placing blame on anyone. If she takes things that way, then there's nothing I can do about it."
