Major banks are pointing to a lift in activity across the economy - to result in an upswing in GDP growth for the third quarter and beyond

The Reserve Bank's forecasting growth of 0.4 percent, while both Westpac and ANZ predict a gain of about one percent.
ANZ Chief Economist Sharon Zollner says things are looking up for the year ahead.
She says their latest business survey has shown a wide range of sectors are more optimistic.
