    Kiwis are getting a jumpstart on their Christmas plans across the country today


    Air New Zealand's preparing for 32-thousand domestic travellers to pass through, marking the busiest day in the holiday period.

    Today also marks the busiest days for a several airports - Auckland for domestic departures, and Christchurch overall.

    Air New Zealand's General Manager for Airports, Kate Boyer, says people are finishing up with work, then heading straight off.

    She says people are getting out of town to see family and going on holiday - or heading to their baches
