Roger Federer has categorised himself as more of a Carlos Alcaraz than a Jannik Sinner as he prepares to return to the Australian Open court

Roger Federer has categorised himself as more of a Carlos Alcaraz than a Jannik Sinner as he prepares to return to the Australian Open court

The Swiss tennis great will play an exhibition match with US legend Andre Agassi and Australians Pat Rafter and Lleyton Hewitt in the opening ceremony tomorrow night.

Famed for his rivalries with Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal during his playing days, Federer was asked who he is more like in the modern-day Sinner-Alcaraz rivalry.

Federer, who's now 44, never played either Sinner or Alcaraz.
