    Work's continuing to repair and reopen roads after recent severe weather


    In Gisborne District, State Highway 35 remains closed between Opotiki and south of Te Araroa, and State Highway 2 remains closed between Opotiki and Matawai - leaving many communities isolated.

    In Bay of Plenty, crews are putting down temporary asphalt on State Highway 2 between Matata to Edgecumbe.

    On the Coromandel, State Highway 25 north of Whitianga's reopened again, but the highway remains closed between Whangamata and Whiritoa.

    In Northland, Oakura Bay remains cut off.
